Oslo ~ Sunday July 21, 2019

We took a city tour via bus this morning.  Vigeland Park is the world’s largest sculpture park created by one artist, Gustavo Vigeland.  Here are two of my favorites:

These are some of the sculptures around a fountain, and there were many more

After lunch Paul and I walked to the harbor. This larger than life stainless steel diver overlooking the harbor really impressed us.

Then we went through the Museum of the Resistance which had dioramas and newspaper articles of Norway’s resistance against the Germans in World War 2.  Later we attended the delicious welcoming dinner at Louise’s which included salad, cod, mashed potatoes, with creme brûlée!

Flights to Oslo ~ July 19&20, 2019

Our flights were smooth.  The SFO to Frankfurt leg was on time.  The Frankfurt to Oslo plane was late arriving, so it was late to Oslo.

I think this was the best day of the trip!  We went to the Tuesday Market.  I bought a small ceramic drum there.

Two of the men at the market

Delicious lunch  and three bottles of wine for three of us wine drinkers at the local winery…good wine
